This year's theme will explore the 'History of Colonial and Post-Colonial Nursing'.
The history of nursing presents a unique perspective from which to interrogate colonialism and post-colonialism. Simultaneously, viewing nursing's development under colonial and post-colonial rule can reveal the different faces of what, on the surface, may appear to be a profession that is consistent and coherent yet in reality has many different faces and is constantly in the process of reinventing itself.
